a ‘v’ project:
‘vcashpoint’ is a funding initiative for young people who want to set up a voluntary project in their own community. By providing grants of up to 2500, vcashpoint can help young people turn their ideas for voluntary projects into reality…

Round 1 of vcashpoint attracted over 500 applications and saw young people from all walks of life & locations in England receive funding for their own projects. These included:
* a peer monitoring project supporting young boys and girls who have been victims of bullying
* a project to encourage young people to break down racial barriers by exploring each others cultural traditions through art
* a street party project to raise awareness of environmental issues
On 5 December, vcashpoint re-opens for applications and v want to make sure as many young people as possible are aware of this great opportunity. As a supporter of our work at v and an active advocate of youth volunteering, v would like you to publicise this opportunity to your networks and also publicise vcashpoint on your website. We have vcashpoint posters and leaflets to promote the initiative which can be ordered free of charge from our fulfillment house e-mail: ann@henleymarketing.com phone: 0118 924 1800.
Our aim is to double the number of applications we receive for round two, so we can give more young people the opportunity to develop valuable life and work skills that will serve both the young person and their community.
The deadline for round two applications is 1 February 2008
