Here’s what we’ve been listening to this week, as a Spotify playlist. I say ‘we’, but I mean me. Asher only listens to ‘dad’ music, from ‘the good old days’ (Dire Straits for example) :

Spoke at a great conference last Saturday – for the most recent cohort of middle management on the Teaching Leaders course. The day focused on student voice, and there were inspiring presentations from Preston Manor in Wembley (on their behaviour panel) and Convent of Jesus and Mary in Harlesden (on their school council). Both were great and it was brilliant to see two Brent schools held as models of good practice (i live in Brent).
Also interesting was a keynote speech from John Bazalgette at The Grubb Insititute. Some very interesting research on the characteristics of schools who have effective student voice. You can find this below – very interesting, and thank you to John for letting us put it up. We’re off to meet with John next week to see if we can work together, which is also very exciting.
