Brennan announces £31m for third sector

Out and About guidance means more school trips for pupils

Teachers will find it easier to take pupils on school trips with more help and advice, less bureaucracy and quality badges for popular destinations, thanks to new guidance from the Department of Children, Schools and Families. The measure is included in the ‘Staying Safe’ Action Plan, launched today.

DCSF request for healthy recipes for 2011 cookery classes

From 2011, every 11 to 14-year-old will be given hands-on cooking lessons in how to make cheap, healthy dishes from simple, fresh ingredients, Ed Balls announced today (22 Jan 08).

“That is why we are also asking people to e-mail in to getcooking.consultation@dcsf.gsi.gov.uk with suggestions for simply healthy recipes which young people could learn.”
