Netsuite tip of the day: Reminders

This is great! I was happily working away when a reminder came to my email from netsuite to “call LA to follow up”. Great I thought until I realised that this was a crap note as I didn’t know who the LA was or what it was following up on. I then got shown how to find out more (Cheers Asher).

Go to Calendar Activity on the dashboard which will show your message. Mine was a bit too brief but said see previous call. I did this and there were all the details of a potential big LA day which I’m now following up on. Genious! I know you can do this on Outlook Tasks but this all links back to the actual record so if Greg takes a call he can see that some activity has already happened.

The success of this depends on people logging calls so remember to log notes of your calls on Netsuite – especially if it’s a possible lead for training!

Opening BETT 2008, the world’s largest educational technology trade show, he said all secondary schools will be expected to have ‘real-time’ reporting systems up and running by 2010 and all primary schools two years later. Many schools already run these systems. More>>
